CO₂ laser cutting — cut acrylic panel

What is CO₂ laser cutting & engraving?

Our large-format CO₂ lasers (wavelength 10,600 nm) cut and engrave all organic and non-conductive materials with remarkable precision. Wood, plywood, MDF, acrylic, PMMA, natural and synthetic leather, cardboard, thick fabric — the CO₂ laser processes all these materials cleanly, without contact, without consumable tooling.

CO₂ laser cutting delivers precision to a tenth of a millimetre with clean, final edges requiring no deburring. Ideal for cut-out signage, illuminated signs, premium packaging, decorative objects, and rapid prototypes — CO₂ engraving also produces texture effects, controlled carbonisation, and relief on wood and leather.

Frequently asked questions — CO₂ Laser Cutting & Engraving

Everything you need to know before placing your order.

What is the maximum thickness you can cut?

We cut up to 20 mm on MDF and softwood with our 100W laser. For acrylic, up to 15 mm with polished edges. For greater thicknesses, contact us.

Does laser cutting leave burn marks?

On wood and MDF, edges show a slight natural laser carbonisation (patinated look). On acrylic, edges are smooth and transparent. We can mask the wood before cutting to reduce marks.

Can a photo be engraved on wood?

Yes, photo engraving on wood is possible via a greyscale conversion adapted for laser. The result varies by wood species.

Do you supply files ready to cut?

We accept vector files (AI, SVG, DXF). Cut outlines must be in red (RGB 255,0,0), engraving areas in black. We offer a vectorisation service if needed.
