What is inkjet marking?

Inkjet marking is a contactless coding technique that projects micro-droplets of ink onto the surface to be marked. The print head never touches the piece, eliminating all mechanical stress and enabling marking on fragile, irregular or fast-moving surfaces.

Ideal for high throughput, inkjet integrates directly into continuous production lines. High-resolution heads print manufacturing dates, batch numbers, best-before dates, 1D/2D barcodes and QR codes in real time, without slowing the line.

Our inks are selected to match your application: fast-drying inks for cardboard packaging, solvent-resistant inks for plastic surfaces, FDA and CE food-certified inks for the food industry. Each formulation guarantees optimal adhesion and lasting legibility under real-world conditions of use.

What inks do you use?

We select inks according to your substrate and application: water-based inks for cardboard and paper packaging, MEK and solvent inks for plastics and metals, UV inks for immediate high-throughput curing, and FDA/CE certified inks for direct or indirect food contact. Every range is tested under real-world conditionss and documented for quality traceability.

Peut-on marquer sur des surfaces courbes ?

Yes. Inkjet technology is contactless and tolerates throw distances of 2 to 8 mm, enabling marking of tubes, bottles, round boxes or extruded profiles without specific mechanical adaptation. For very irregular surfaces, we recommend a prior feasibility audit to validate jet distance and print quality.

What is the maximum print resolution?

Our heads achieve 600 dpi — sufficient resolution to print QR codes and Data Matrix readable by industrial scanners, as well as 3 mm text at nominal throughput. Effective resolution also depends on line speed: at 6 m/s, we guarantee a minimum of 300 dpi for all regulatory traceability codes.

Is the marking resistant to industrial washing?

This depends on the ink chosen. Our solvent-resistant and high-temperature inks withstand washing cycles of industrial washing up to 80 °C with alkaline detergents — compliant with decontamination requirements in the food and pharmaceutical industries. For extreme applications (autoclave, steam), we recommend laser marking for superior durability.
