Frequently asked questions — DTF Printing
- DTF (Direct To Film) involves printing a design onto a special film, then heat-pressing it onto the textile at 160°C. Result: vivid full-gamut CMYK+ colours, even on polyester and synthetic fabrics.
- Embroidery gives a raised, high-end finish, limited to 15 thread colours. DTF allows complex designs, gradients and photos on fabric with unlimited colours. The two techniques complement each other.
- Our DTF transfers withstand more than 50 washes at 40°C. UV-resistant CMYK inks and OEKO-TEX certified heat-press adhesive. Recommendation: turn inside out before washing, avoid fabric softener.
- Yes, this is one of the major strengths of DTF. Unlike DTG printing (cotton only), DTF adheres perfectly to all fabrics: cotton, polyester, blends, synthetic, lycra. Ideal for sports jerseys.
- Standard lead time 48–72h after file validation. Digital proof sent within 24h. Express 24h available on weekdays before 12pm (+30%). Colissimo delivery 1–2 additional days.
