⬡ BAÏNE Reference · Sublimated Lycra · Stretch SwimwearThe client — own brand or influencer brand holder — submits a creative brief: brand universe, target audience, target retail price, planned quantities. MARKAGENIE creates a sublimation moodboard, a colour palette, and a validated concept sheet. For an influencer, this step includes the collection naming and commercial positioning from the outset.
Each style is drawn in technical view (front / back / details) with all measurements, materials, colours and stitch types specified. The base BAÏNE pattern file — 80/20 elasthane lycra — is adapted to the style. Size gradations XS→XL are calculated. Deliverable: Complete Technical Sheet + digital pattern ready for printing.
Selection and sourcing: sublimable polyester lycra 200–240 g/m² (technical white), microfibre lining, cotton/polyester elastic bands, high-tenacity polyester threads. For classic BAÏNE styles: opaque jacquard lycra. All suppliers are OEKO-TEX certified — no material without a validated material data sheet.
The designer creates the Illustrator or Photoshop pattern file — vector or raster at 150 dpi minimum. The pattern is laid over the digital pattern piece to verify exact seam alignment. Optional CLO3D 3D render for client validation. Pattern repeat on the panel is optimised to minimise fabric waste.
The file is sublimation-printed on transfer paper, then heat-set onto white polyester fabric via calender at 200°C. The fabric comes out with the pattern permanently embedded in the fibres — washable at 60°C, chlorine-resistant. Systematic densitometric and colorimetric control at calender output.
The Hikrobot 20 Mpx industrial camera scans the printed pattern and automatically generates the cutting outline — no source file required, no manual repositioning. Precision ±0.025 mm at 18,000 mm/min. Pattern pieces are cleanly cut, edges sealed by the 150 W CO₂ laser. Zero intermediate handling between printing and cutting.
Assembly is performed with 4-needle flatseam stitch: imperceptible to the touch, no bulk, no skin irritation — mandatory for all swimwear worn against the skin. The Ø148 mm cylinder arm allows sewing of small tubes (legs, armholes) without unfolding the piece. Two stations in parallel absorb volume peaks.
The motorised elastic reel feeds and applies simultaneously with the coverstitch — waistband and leg edges in a single pass instead of two separate operations. Servo tension control guarantees consistent stretch piece to piece, regardless of operator. High throughput-impact station: without automation, it becomes the main bottleneck.
High-repetition operations — neckline edge, interior label application, back loops — are handled by CNC sewing robots. Piece 1 = piece 3,000: absolute consistency. For BAÏNE styles with free-form seams (complex curves), the 360° head robot executes the vector path without physical template.
All interior seams are overlocked at 7,000 spm in semi-dry mode — zero oil stain on white or light lycra. This station also handles rolled hems on linings. Critical speed: at 3,000 pieces/month, a slow station here creates an immediate bottleneck across the whole line.
Each piece is measured at 8 control points: bust, waist, hip, crotch, bands, back length. Seam strength test (15 kg pull), colour fastness test (30 min saltwater soak). Target rejection rate: <2%. NG pieces go back for correction or downgrade.
Logo, serial number or collection pattern added after validated assembly. Three technologies available in MARKAGENIE's existing fleet — finishing CAPEX = 0.
Eco packaging (compostable pouch or recycled cardboard box), edge-sewn woven label, cardboard hangtag with QR code linking to the digital lookbook. For influencer collections: full branded packaging — stickers, tissue paper, personalised brand insert.
